Student Books (four leveled books) offer engaging nonfiction reading selections with scaffolded nonfiction text features, striking visuals, on-page definitions of academic vocabulary, and response features built into the text.

Teacher's Guide includes step-by-step lesson plans for direct instruction of reading comprehension strategies and academic vocabulary, guided practice, writer's workshop, and tools for assessing and monitoring students' progress.

Concept Connector, for use before and after reading, is a visual tool to build background knowledge, introduce and review academic vocabulary, develop oral language, and informally assess students' content knowledge.

Image Bank CD-ROM provides a library of more than 100 downloadable images and digital transparencies to support vocabulary development and student writing.

Resource CD-ROM offers a wide range of tools to support instruction, including all Learning Masters, graphic organizers, Visual Comprehension lessons, and answer keys.

Audio CD for each module includes oral readings of each student book to promote fluency and pronunciation of key vocabulary. Also includes oral readings of the ELL newcomer lessons.

Classroom Management and Assessment CD-ROM provides extensive support for lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment.
